Department of Cardiovascular Surgery has performed over 2000 open-heart surgeries and is a symbol of our relentless pursuit towards lowering the burden of cardiac related ailments of the society. The entire spectrum of adult Cardiac Surgery is being performed with excellent survival rate comparable to the best in the world. Coronary Artery Bypass Surgeries are routinely done on Beating heart with survival rate over 98%.

• Laminar air flow through 0.5 mircon heppa filters providing 32 air changes every hour.
• Custom built computerized heart-lung machines from Stockert-Shiley, Germany
• Advanced Astiva-5 anaesthesia machines for cardiac anesthesia.
• Harmonic scalpel, a cutting and coagulating device for bloodless field of surgery, for the first time in a heart hospital in Karnataka.
• Suspended surgical pendants to accommodate high-end diathermy machines, Defibrillators, etc.
• Complete Endoscopic equipment including Sony 1000 lines monitor and 3 chip camera from Richard Wolff.
• Clearglide Accel Endoscopic vessel harvesting system including precision bipolar Harmonic Scalpel from Ethicon (J&J)
• KAAT-2 + Intra Aortic Ballon Pump machine from Arrow International Inc., USA
