ago, a man had a vision to serve the community in and around Mysore…
None other than Dr. S. Narayana Setty, he was qualified as a Chest
Physician and had just returned from the UK to make a humble beginning
as the head of a Chest & Tuberculosis Hospital in Mysore.
His unconditional love for the people and professional excellence
made him a visionary of his times. His vision for thoracic surgery
is now being carried out in the form of most advanced cardio thoracic
surgeries at Vikram Hospital & Heart Care.
Working with a missionary zeal in the realm of healthcare,
he even motivated his sons Dr. S. Bhaskar and
Dr. S.N. Rajeshwar
to take up Medicine and worked for more than four decades along
with them to build up a good out patient service with most diagnostic
facilities. His grand son Dr. S.B. Vikram joined them later
on to infuse fresh enthusiasm with modern ideas. He spearheaded the planning and execution of Vikram Hospital
& Heart Care, thus fulfilling a long-cherished desire of
the family to setup a truly world-class hospital in Mysore. |
